Missing Pet Recovery Services, Inc. is a Section 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization in North Carolina. We are official HomeAgain Pet Rescuers. Basically, we go where your local Animal Control can't utilizing high tech surveillance equipment, GPS and trained search and recovery dogs. We provide phone consultations, searches, shelter checks, detection services, and trapping services. Since 2006, Missing Pet Recovery Services, Inc. has helped many pet owners recover their lost pets as evident in our TESTIMONIALS page. Locally, we offer comprehensive lost pet recovery tips based on our cutting edge knowledge of lost pet behavior. We provide animal shelters with printed educational materials designed to assist those who have lost a pet. We are working to obtain grants, donations and in-kind donations for operating expenses and so we can Coordinate an accurate contact list/database for animal welfare workers and volunteers and establish a disaster preparedness plan and training exercises. Future plans, include sponsoring a Loose Dog Recovery Program the week of July 4th, 2008. Missing Pet Recovery Services, Inc will work with area shelters and Animal Control to coordinate a week long Recovery Program. In addition to reducing the strain on Animal Control and shelters, we will be providing much needed Urban Search and Rescue (SAR) training opportunities to organizations across the state and beyond for urban disaster preparedness planning. Missing Pet Recovery Services, Inc will sponsor educational opportunities for first time pet owners, fearful owners, children's classes and demonstrations when approached by a stray dog, Canine First Aid and CPR classes, and volunteer training. In order to affect change and improve the welfare of animals in North Carolina, we are developing educational seminars and providing working canine demonstrations for elementary and middle schools, as well as the public. Volunteers are needed to present these courses in their local area. We will provide training and materials to animal welfare workers across the state. Visit our Contact Page if you would like to volunteer. Nationally, we are developing a program we call “Picture Your Pet at the Vet”. |
